Always Distracted
There’s something seriously wrong with my brain. All I ever want to do is watch TV, listen to music, play video games and read everything possible on the internet. That may sound like an average person my age, but I’m beginning to wonder if my entertainment needs are beginning to slide into addiction, or if they’ve been there all along.
The only things I feel passionate about...

Tomorrow I am going to see Blink 182 with a bunch of my coworkers. I haven’t heard a Blink 182 song in at least 7 years.
I’ve never even really been a fan of Blink 182.
But fuck it, I’ll just get druuuuuunk.
Selfishness and Insecurity
A few nights ago I was talking with a friend of mine about relationships and why I’ve avoided them most of my life. She came out of some 5-year relationship with a guy who clearly grew bored with her and had little interest in spending time with her.
I told her that I prefer to spend time on me…doing the things I like and growing as a person. She told me that seemed selfish or...

Paul McCartney Concert Afterthoughts
I’ve been obsessed with The Beatles for my entire adult life and a large chunk of my childhood. When my dad bought tickets to Paul’s show I was certainly a little excited to see the musician I admire more than any.
But really, I knew from the start I wasn’t seeing The Beatles. I wasn’t even seeing Wings. I was seeing Paul McCartney with a backing band that might as well...

Cincinnasty
This week I’ve been on assignment to shoot various things-to-do in Cincinnati neighborhoods as part of a “guide to the city.” It’s provided some interesting insights.
I’ve long had an indifference toward the city I live in. It doesn’t feel particularly like a home to me, but then I’ve also been stuck in an area I’d never live in again if I have...

It was still depressing to watch Amy Winehouse become another Joplin.

My Car Smells Like Pizza
So for the past few months I’ve been a pizza delivery driver. I just wanted to say a few things I’ve learned as a result of this new gig:
Driving around and getting paid rocks my socks off.
Driving around, smoking weed, and getting paid for it is even better.
Having to drive home that one weird old guy that washes dishes on a delivery, while still high as fuck, is the downside.
A...

I propose a toast to you, tumblr
Raise your joints, blunts, bongs, bowls, or whatever the fuck you smoke out of.
Today is a day to remember those souls who defended the freedom we breathe today. The freedom we use to eat massive amounts of food and get fat, talk shit about the government in the open, and smoke this herb. Even though everyone’s always trying to take that freedom from us all the time.
But I digress.

Life's Moving Fast Now
God, I feel like I haven’t been doing anything on this tumblr for a while now. I used to have a lot of photos to post but now I really haven’t been doing as much. Life’s just been catching up with me and my jobs/school is getting crazy as usual.
But I’ve got an internship at a local alternative weekly paper where I’ll get some room to do some stories I like to do....
See Bridesmaids
Just got back from the theater. I really wanted to see this movie because A. I heard it’s funny and B. I heard it’s a shockingly honest take on female friendships. I’m glad it turned out to be both.
I just wanted to say that it’s awesome to see that hilarious Apatow-style comedy coming from a bunch of chicks for a change. You can see the improvisation going on in some...

Arctic Monkeys - Suck It and See Review
The Arctic Monkeys are rapidly becoming my favorite modern band. Every album totally different, yet delivering that same idiosyncratic quality of cleverness all the while.
But the bar is set higher with Suck It And See.
Retreating from the stoney jams of Humbug, Suck It and See’s blank white album cover best explains what you’re about to hear: a shotgun spread of pop songs ranging from...
